I was told that the person who brought these home from World War II spent a lot of time in Belgium. These are two different sized pair of shoes. The first pair measures almost 9 in long. And at the widest part about 3 and 1/8 in. The second pair measures 7 and 3/4 long and about 2 and 3/4 across. They have been painted or stained a dark wood color. Almost Walnut. And they have been spoon carved. There are several chips in them. They have been worn.
