original Box definitely has some age wear. The Box measures 14" by 11" by 2 and a 1/2 inches. There is writing on the lid, tape, broken pieces. There are 8 sections Of curved track and 2 straight tracks. All tracking has slight rust and tarnish. All the points for the track are intact. So you can use the track. The 3 Pullman cars all have wheels which are metal. They all have connector pieces to hook the train together. All have some scratches, but no dents. The coal car has 4 metal wheels and to clasps to hook the cars together. There does not seem to be a top to this. There may not have had a top. Can,t tell. the engine is marked Lionel lines. The lever or the break is functional. The wheels do turn and are free. When you do move the back wheels the metal pieces that run horizontal along the bottom of the car move. I have not tested this train to see if it actually works. It has been in a barn for a good 65 years. Condition is excellent. I would date this 1930,s or pre.war.
